Reasons Why You Should Have A Fence in Tampa, FL
If you have a home and you don’t have a fence, I must question why that is. I mean, fences are a bit of an essential for properties because when you don’t have one, your property just looks kind of strange and exposed.
I’ve passed by a few homes without fences and I can’t help but wonder why they don’t have fences. Was it a group decision? Do they know something I don’t? I mean, what is up with that? Fences offer an extra layer of protection and just leave you feeling like there is a barrier between you and the world. Once you get home and close your gate behind you, it’s such a relief.
Not only that, but fences add value to your home and if someone sees that your home doesn’t have a fence, they are most likely going to second guess it. I mean, not always when it comes to a fence in front of the house, but when a home doesn’t have a backyard fence, that is when things get a little strange and uncomfortable.
Reason 1: Fences offer privacy.
If you and your neighbor have a pool and neither of you has a fence… good luck with that. I mean seriously, that’s kind of weird, don’t you think? Anytime you go out into your backyard for fresh air and sunshine, your neighbor could be there just… watching. Even if your neighbor isn’t watching though, isn’t it odd to know that they might be. I mean, seriously!
When it comes to the front yard, it isn’t as bad, but it’s still bad. If your front yard doesn’t have a fence, someone can just walk onto your property and straight into your backyard. I actually see a house on my walk that has no front fence. I can just walk right to the play area they have for their children.
Speaking of children, with no front fence or a backyard fence, how does one feel safe allowing their child to run and play? They can run right into the street. There is no way you can let the dog out either. They’ll just run away! Probably as soon as they get out there!
Reason 2: Fences establish property lines.
If you are unsure of where you can put your lawn chair or where you can start growing your roses, having a fence will help with that. A fence is a great way to establish property lines and to assure that you aren’t doing something that you shouldn’t. For instance, what if you live next to some city property and you start digging or something; you’ll get in trouble!
Knowing where your property starts and where the next person’s does is a good idea.
Reason 3: Fences are aesthetically pleasing.
Your property looks nice as it is, sure. The only thing is, adding a fence will make the property look ten times better; trust me on that.
